Little piggies, get well soon!!

I thought it was light at the end of the tunnel.

It is the headlight from an oncoming truck.

I don't know if I can recover, or survive.

Each time I am being thrown about and stamped on, by the cruel hands of fate.

I think, I should call it quits.

The end of the journey is almost here.

I had fought a good fight. I had cried, yelled, gritted my teeth and raged. Now the game is turning my way.

I had done my best.

Sigh~ here we go again~

We are so so happy she won the Best Actress. As YuZhu, we felt for her, we cried for her, we sighed for her.

She is the most deserving, most beautiful, most charismatic actress tonight.

The rest of the Mediacorp artistes looked dull and pasty compared to the overseas guests.

We are playing ping pong next week!

It will be completely new to me. The only time I played with ping pong balls was with Spencer.

Fat Orenj.

I haven't been visiting them for many many weeks already.

It was warm in the morning, and I did housework for three hours. Spencer was grumpy and grumbled loudly non stop. I offered her wet and dry foods and she rejected them all.

Then she went to nap on the sofa. I wanted to join her, but she stomped away.

Then it started to rain heavily. Spencer was still insomniac. She sat outside for a while, chirrupped at the birds on the balcony, smelled my hands carefully after I touched Bh2, Hat and Calico

Now she had finally settled down and asleep on MY chair, listening to Hayley Westerna.

We have been sleeping in air con room for the last few nights. Spencer would scream and demand for it once it hit 8pm. She would continue to complain until I joined her, then she left after I fell asleep. Most of the mornings she would come in from outside, shouting for breakfasts.

She has been terribly vocal lately.

Mera dropped by for dinner.

He has decided not to go for sardines, and prefers tuna and salmon.

I have managed to wean him off Friskies, and he likes Nutro now.

Another of my colleague's brother, was hospitalised for nose bleeding. He had a heart valve operation a few months back, and has been taking blood thinner.

The doctor said the previous ops was botched, the valves are not healing well. Right now the options are replacing the valves, either with an animal ones, or artificial ones.

The first type will most likely be from a horse (!!!!!!). The doctor recommended this option, as the patient is young, and he likes exercises and activities. It will normally last ten years or so.B then, there maybe some newer technologies and treatments available.

We wondered if they can use other animal types eg cow or pig, because we do not want another horse to give up its life for a human.

If they take second option, the patient has to be on blood thinner for life.

We hope he gets well soon. Hospitals is a bad bad place.

My colleague is going to Japan for a holiday, and no one can take care of her cat SaraLee. SaraLee is the one who had suffered from chlymydia eyes. The usual catsitter is also taking the holiday with her. She was cracking her head about it, so I suggested she let Sara go back to the cattery in Farmway, where she was adopted from, as it will not be an entirely strange place for her.

I told her to explain to the cat that she is not being returned or abandoned. She is worried that the cat may have forgotten her friends at the cattery and will be lonely.

It was a teary farewell. She said Sara clung to her, refusing to let go. She hissed and spat at the other cats, an she threw a mighty tantrum, refusing to say goodbye.

I assured her that Sara will settle down after a few days. Of course she will be ignored when she comes back for Sara, but all will be forgiven once Sara comes home.

Female cats tend to act like divas, especially calicos.

It was the first time, in a long long time, that I had forgotten about Anzac Day.

Lest we forget.

Wow....who would have thought that LV would be interested in badminton? It is most likely for the Mainland or Indonesian markets.

Next FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

And next IRB Rugby World Cup in long overdue New Zealand.

I love the All Blacks, really. More than I love the Wallabies and the Springboks. They are so exciting to watch, but always chokes when it matters the most.

原来你, 什麽都不想要。。。。

Went to nursing home today, played with the cats there.

Then played badminton for two hours. 2 colleagues have woman problem, and one colleague is in Melbourne.  Luckily another colleague brought his friend, who is an excellent player and so polite.

The poor shuttlecock became the brunt of my aggression again.

Then we went for dinner, I had chicken rice AND laksa.

We had fun.

没有你我也可以活下去, 活的很好。

If you do not want to be in my life, get out of my dream.

I can survive.

I will survive.

Just give me some time.

Bad things happen to good people.

Now that the badminton club is up and running, I am thinking of starting a jogging club. There is a small stadium just behind the sports hall. It opens from 430am to 830pm.

Most people likes to jog alone though, and not around in circles.

They have a branch at Takashimaya B2, next to St Leaven.

They make very good ciabatta, plus other breads.

The ham and tomato sandwich is lovely when warm. A simple, authentic taste.

The weather is just too warm.

Something happened at work. Again.

Third time this week.

We played badminton for two hours. I was upset, so I damaged the shuttlecock in 30 minutes.

They knew I was frustrated, so they just changed the shuttlecock and let me smash my heart out.

Our 72 yo colleague played better than two young females combined.

Then we had dinner. I would prefer to be in a smaller group, but we had some good laughs.

It is just a job.

Why is it so hard?

Monday, April 13, 2009

The uncle was telling me he is now feeding the kitties with dog food.

I hate that.

It is emotional blackmail.

Sunday, April 12, 2009

I was on my way to dinner, and saw a well dressed kid throwing stones at the back of the power station.

Sure enough, when I went closer to look, he was throwing stones at the kitties.

I asked the boy quietly what did he think he was doing. He got startled, told me sullenly that he was just throwing stones, and he called me a crazy woman.

I thought I should just leave it at that. Then I saw him walk towards his elder brother, and started to gesticulate.

From their body language, the boy was telling his brother how I had attacked and scolded him for throwing stones at nothing.

The elder brother stood up and glared at me, and the boy started to show me rude hand signals in defiance.

I walked back towards them. And I asked the boy calmly if he had been telling lies to his brother.

Then I told the brother what actually happened. I think my tone and expression told him who was speaking the truth.

I am not the type who confront other people, but this boy has to be taught a lesson, and for the safety of the kitties.

I wrote some Easter greetings verse and sent them to my colleague. I like to do that, as it is more personal than those chain sms which you get during festive periods.

After all that, he wondered if I wrote it myself, or I got it from somewhere else!

How insulting!

I asked him if he thinks I copied the verse from some greeting cards, he said he was just wondering how come I can come out with something like this.

Double insults!

Just because I am not a major in English lit doesn't mean that I do not love and use the language well. Good teachers and lifelong reading habit helps too.

And if you feel strongly about it, the words will come.

Went Orchard today. It rained early in the morning and the streets were deserted.

Went HMV and got this music CD. The staff informed me that it is all instrumental music. I told him I was aware of it, or it could not be as cheap as $19 for 6 CDs. He said many customers asked for refunds......

Went to Watson to get some cold and flu medications from a very tired pharmacist.

Some shirts from adidas.

Golf skirts from Golf House, the service was quite lapsed.

Got a cute tote bag from Kinokuniya.

And a sweater for Old Bear who has been naked for the last 20++ years.

The sweater actually fits quite well.

Happy Easter.

He only feels safe to eat in this position.

Pensive Hat.

Kiki likes to chase him each time he steps onto the corridor.

Nyonya or should it be bibik Spencer?

Two oddballs. So different yet understand and complement each other so perfectly.

Quiet and mild on their own, but so seamlessly explosively dynamic when together.

They are dancing a slow tango, one step forward two steps back, I think it will be a long time before they ride into the sunset together, if at all.

Lacoste shoes....they are so beautiful, in an old fashioned way.
